Tour Description
Tiout+Tardant/Berber town Meals included 1 day 8:20 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Description: Circuit between Tiout and Taroudante
One of the oldest cities in Morocco, it is located 86 km east of Agadir and is surrounded by two mountain ranges: the High Atlas Mountains to the north and the Anti Atlas Mountains to the East.
Taroudant (also known as Taroudant) is sometimes called "Little Marrakech", but that description doesn't do justice to the commercial hub of the Sousse Valley. The souk and the Taroudant square are surrounded by magnificent red clay walls, behind which rise the snow-capped mountains of the High Atlas. They exude a good dose of North African mysticism. But it is also a utilitarian place, where the Berbers trade in products from the rich and fertile plains of Oued Sousse.
There are no must-see attractions. The medina is more of a place for walking and strolling. Both souks are definitely worth a visit and are more relaxed than Marrakech, but have a lively atmosphere that Agadir lacks. Home to the little-explored Western Atlas, the Anti-Atlas and the neighboring coastline, this city is an ideal starting point for hiking and activities. Just 65 km from Al Massira airport, it is a more atmospheric stopover than Agadir.
Details: Tiout Tour – Taroudant
Once you get into the minibus or car, you still have 86 km to go. The path is magnificent and seeing the argan trees decorated with goats makes me smile. There are orange and clementine orchards along the road.
Once you arrive in Taroudant, also known as "Little Marrakech", you will certainly notice its large ramparts and the bustle of mopeds, street vendors, pedestrians, artisan souks in the streets of the city, and a visit on foot to fully appreciate its charm. Discover the medina.
As I continued to walk around the city, every time I noticed something, I noticed the color of the long veils worn by the women, indigo blue. The blue recalls the era of caravans led by Sahrawis wearing indigo blue scarves. I passed through here a long time ago. After visiting the town of Taroudant, we will continue to the very beautiful oasis {Tiute}, a village with red ocher houses with spectacular views, 30 km from Taroudant. The best way to explore the palm groves is on a donkey ride (incredible). Lunch at the Kasbah (lemon chicken + couscous, etc.), breathtaking panoramic view.
Departure from the village at 3:30 a.m. and return to Agadir.
